In South Dakota, we greatly value our right to bear arms. We recognize that ownership and operation of firearms are constitutional rights protected by the Second Amendment. I support the Second Amendment and will continue to protect the rights of gun owners. I will critically review any proposed legislation or regulations that restrict individual, law-abiding citizens from owning and operating a firearm.
