FY 2022 Appropriations Requests and Congressionally Directed Spending
The following are Fiscal Year 2022 congressionally directed spending requests by Senator Mike Rounds (R-S.D.) listed by subcommittee, which are being released in accordance with deadlines set forth by the Senate Appropriations Committee:

- Project Purpose: To remedy overdue federal payments to enable construction of the Madison, SD segment (lines 2 through 4) of the Lewis and Clark Regional Water System.

- Project Purpose: This project funds infrastructure development, including storm and sewer additions, related to workforce development.
- Project Location: Mitchell, SD
- Amount Requested: $2,406,000

- Recipient Name: The City of North Sioux City
- Project Purpose: North Sioux City is seeking $17 million to complete a realignment, bypass project from Northshore Drive that would route farm, school and residential traffic from west of McCook Lake off of the existing Northshore Drive. According to officials with North Sioux City, the existing road has poor visibility and safety issues and is at risk of falling apart due to the traffic.

- Project Purpose: Funding is being requested for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST) to resurface a portion of Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Route 3.
- Project Location: Dewey County, SD
- Amount Requested: $3,500,000

- Recipient Name: Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe
- Project Purpose: Funding is being requested for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST) for multi route graveling on portions of Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Routes 3, 7 and 8.

- Amount Requested: $4,300,000

- Recipient Name: Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe
- Project Purpose: Funding is requested for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST) to rehabilitate and make necessary safety improvements to Route 12.
