Our youth are our future. Having a strong education system is vital to making certain our students have the opportunity to have a prosperous future. To accomplish that goal, I believe decisions about education are best made at the local level and not dictated by the federal government.
In addition, student loan debt is a significant financial burden that not only influences the way our workforce saves and spends, but also has a stifling effect on the economy. We need to find common sense ways to reform our federal loan system without unilaterally wiping out debt for borrowers and shifting the burden on to taxpayers.
